Terms & Conditions

By booking an appointment via website or manually through the company means you are agreeing to the following:
  • 1. Cancellations and Refunds

    • Prepaid Appointments: For services paid via credit card, PayPal, or Afterpay, cancellations will receive an 80% refund, excluding Extensions.  

    • Pay-on-the-Day Appointments: No cancellation fee applies.

    • Extension Services: Once payment for hair and extension creation has been made, no refund is available, as the extensions are considered purchased property. These can be sent to you on the scheduled installation date.

    • Installation Payment: If payment for the installation has already been made, the refund will be 80% or none if payment is made on the day of the appointment.

    • Cancellation Policy for Next Appointment: If a cancellation occurs, the next appointment must be fully paid for before rescheduling.

    • Travel Fees: Travel fees apply to all services and are non-negotiable.


    2. No-Show and Late Arrival Policy

    • If you fail to attend your scheduled appointment at the agreed-upon time and location, your next appointment must be prepaid in full before booking another session.


    3. Safety and Conduct

    • We prioritize a safe and comfortable environment. If, at any point, the service provider feels unsafe or uncomfortable, we reserve the right to refuse service and leave the premises immediately.


    4. Client Responsibility for Aftercare

    • You acknowledge that any actions taken outside of the professional services we provide, including care or modifications done independently at home, are at your own risk. We cannot be held accountable for any outcomes resulting from such actions.

    • You are responsible for maintaining your dreadlocks at home in accordance with the advice and instructions provided.


    5. Service Details and Scheduling

    • It is your responsibility to ensure the correct details and any service extras are included in your appointment. Any discrepancies may result in an inability to accommodate adjustments on the day of your service, and a new appointment may need to be scheduled.

    • Please ensure you’ve read the FAQ page and have any questions answered before booking.


    6. Dreadlock and Extension Care

    • You acknowledge that dreadlocks and extensions require specific care to maintain their longevity. By booking your appointment, you confirm you fully understand the upkeep required and have discussed all aspects of the service beforehand.

    • The expected results of your dreadlocks are also dependent on the care you provide at home, and we cannot guarantee specific outcomes from maintenance sessions.


    7. Health and Sensitivity Considerations

    • You understand that the use of dreadlocks or extensions may not be suitable for all hair types or individuals. It is your responsibility to inform us of any known sensitivities. Any negative reactions, such as scalp irritation or skin issues, are not the responsibility of Amelia Jane’s Dreadlocks.

    • By proceeding with the service, you acknowledge that you are taking a personal risk when choosing dreadlocks as a hairstyle.


    8. Hair Length Requirements and Fees

    • To begin the dreadlock process, your hair must be at least 15cm long. If your hair does not meet this requirement at the time of your appointment, a $100 no-service fee will apply.


    9. Deposit and Payment Terms

    • A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for all dreadlock creation services, due 14 days prior to the appointment.

    • If an appointment is cancelled within 14 days, the deposit will not be refunded.


    10. Complaints and Feedback

    • Any complaints or concerns must be submitted within 7 days of the service date for us to offer a resolution. We will follow up with a complimentary maintenance session if necessary.

    • Feedback provided after this period will be considered at our discretion.

    • Refund Policy for Extensions and Creations: We do not offer refunds on extensions or creation services. The quality of our work can be reviewed online and will have been discussed and agreed upon in advance via text.

    • Should you choose not to proceed with the service on the day of the appointment due to dissatisfaction, please notify us immediately before the service commences.


    11. Service Outcomes

    • While we strive to provide the best possible service, we cannot guarantee specific results. The desired outcome may not be fully achieved in one session, and results may vary.
